Days 98-101: When I began the Year of Creative Habits I hoped a daily creative activity would ultimately help with my writing. I’m now 101 days in and I think it has – and more. My word choices have expanded, my thoughts jump and connect smoother and I’m able to “dive in” to projects easier. Deadline approaching

Funny how fast my days fly by…especially when wrapped up in a large “I’m-almost-50-so-its-time-I-tackle-this” project. My effort is applying for a professional designation. I decided months ago I would apply but with the deadline now six days away my eight-page application looms large in front of me. Work days for me are most often 10 hours, so the time I have to devote to the editing and rewriting is precious and limited. Do you remember when LinkedIn, self-described as “the world’s largest professional network on the Internet” was hacked? A Russian techno-thug managed to obtain 6.5 million of the over 161 million users’ passwords and uploaded them to a website. For a couple of days news groups that cover social media and people who are active on LinkedIn were busy updating their information and encouraging their contacts to do the same.
