Days 16 & 17: Traveling is good. A change of pace is good…as is traveling to a place where it’s 74 degrees in the middle of January, and stumbling across an incredible arts fair and meeting someone who herself is on a creative quest and who also wrestles with the questions of “Is my work good enough?”

I’m thinking it’s time to tear open the novel I wrote years ago. Time to see if edits can be made to make it worthy of a read by more than just a few select friends.

The habit of writing a certain number of words a day for the National Novel Writers Month is the same of a year of creative habits. A month’s worth of effort produced a very rough 50,000 word novel. A year’s worth of creative effort, bit by bit, whispers of good things to come.
